The Old Fashioned is the cocktail that started it all. It is arguably the original cocktail, and we wanted our illustration to reflect that timeless, no-nonsense sophistication. The amber tones of the whiskey, the orange peel garnish, the Luxardo cherry, and the classic rocks glass all came together beautifully.

We spent a lot of time getting the ice just right. A proper Old Fashioned uses a single large ice cube, and that detail matters to bourbon enthusiasts. Our friend Al actually uses giant ice blocks that he carves himself, which always takes the presentation to another level.

I ordered this print for a small spot that needed a “pop”. The Cosmopolitan print was just right, plus a favorite cocktail of mine. The color is vivid and quality is excellent.
