Florence Duomo: Hand-Signed Edition

This hand-signed edition of our Florence Duomo art print features the same breathtaking Tuscan cityscape, personally signed by the artist Michael. Each print is signed by hand in our Fort Worth studio, making every piece unique.

This illustration was inspired by a trip Yvette and I took in 2024, when we hiked the Via di Francesco from Florence to Rome. This view of the Duomo and the Florence skyline is from Piazzale Michelangelo. It is one of the most stunning panoramas in all of Italy.

Available exclusively on moddayart.com in 8x10 size on Crane's Lettra®, a 110 lb cover, 100% cotton paper in Fluorescent White. Hand-signed editions are not available on Amazon or any other retailer.

Want it personalized? Use the field above to add up to 50 characters, such as a name, date, or short message, and Michael will hand-letter your words beneath the print in his own handwriting before it ships.

Our Florence Story

In 2024, Yvette and I hiked the Via di Francesco, the ancient pilgrimage route from Florence to Rome. Before we set out on the trail, we stood at Piazzale Michelangelo and took in the view that inspired this illustration: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi's famous dome rising above the terracotta rooftops, Giotto's bell tower standing beside it, and the Tuscan hills rolling away into the distance.

That moment, standing at the start of a journey with the entire city laid out below us, is what this piece captures. Every hand-signed edition carries the artist Michael's signature from our Fort Worth studio, connecting each print to the story behind it.

Each hand-signed print is produced one at a time in our Fort Worth studio using fade-resistant pigment inks on Crane's Lettra® 110 lb Cover, a 297 GSM 100% cotton paper in Fluorescent White. A genuine giclée print, signed by the artist.
Why Choose the Hand-Signed Edition
The hand-signed edition is exclusive to moddayart.com. You will not find it on Amazon or any other retailer. Each print is personally signed by the artist, making it a more meaningful piece for your collection or as a gift.

This edition is available in 8x10 only on Crane's Lettra® 100% cotton cover stock. If you prefer the 11x14 size, our standard Florence Duomo print is available in both 8x10 and 11x14.
About the Illustration
Our Florence illustration captures the breathtaking cityscape from Piazzale Michelangelo, with the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore as the focal point. Brunelleschi's dome, completed in 1436, remains one of the greatest architectural achievements in history. Beside it stands Giotto's Campanile, the bell tower that has defined the Florence skyline for nearly seven centuries.

The warm Tuscan color palette — terracotta rooftops, golden facades, and soft blue hills — brings a touch of Italy into any space.
A Special Gift

A hand-signed art print makes a more personal and meaningful gift than a standard print. This edition is a popular choice for Italy lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates artist-signed work.
This piece is for anyone who has visited Florence, dreams of going, or simply loves the art and architecture of the Italian Renaissance.

Printed on Crane's Lettra®

Crane has been making paper in America for more than two hundred years, and Lettra is the sheet their reputation rests on. It is 100% cotton, with no wood pulp at all, and it has a soft, slightly toothy surface that most printing papers simply do not have. Pigment ink settles into the fibers rather than sitting on top, which is why the color reads with depth from across the room.

Printers reach for Lettra when a piece has to feel like something: letterpress invitations, engraved announcements, foil and embossing work. We use it because a hand-drawn illustration deserves a surface that feels handmade too.

Ours is 110 lb Cover in Fluorescent White, 297 GSM. Substantial enough to hold its own in a frame, and bright enough to let the color do its job.
