Craft Beer Poster – Illustrated Wall Art for Home Bars, Man Caves & Beer Lovers
How Mod Day Art is Made
Every Mod Day Art print begins the old-fashioned way—with a sketch. Sure, the pencil is digital now (shoutout to the Apple Pencil), but the process still starts with a blank canvas and a creative spark. Before diving into digital illustration, I trained as a fine artist, so everything we create is grounded in those traditional techniques—composition, color theory, and a healthy respect for good lighting. Whether it’s a fizzy cocktail, a foamy craft beer, or a peaceful national park landscape, the approach is always the same: start with a strong drawing, build up bold lines and shapes, and layer in color and texture until it all just clicks. We’re big on personality here—each print should feel like it tells a story or captures a moment you want to hang onto. From the initial sketch to the final touches, every piece is hand-drawn with care, curiosity, and sometimes snacks. Lots of snacks. Check out the video to see how it all comes together, one illustrated detail at a time.
