Le Consulat, Paris: Hand-Signed Edition

This hand-signed edition of our Le Consulat art print features the same vibrant illustration of one of the most iconic cafes in Montmartre, personally signed by the artist Michael. Each print is signed by hand in our Fort Worth studio, making every piece unique.

Le Consulat is one of those places that captures everything we love about Montmartre. We first discovered it during our honeymoon over twenty years ago, sitting at a tiny table on the cobblestones, watching the neighborhood come to life around us. It is the kind of place that makes you want to stay forever, and this illustration captures that feeling.

Available exclusively on moddayart.com. Hand-signed editions are not available on Amazon or any other retailer.

Want it personalized? Use the field above to add up to 50 characters, such as a name, date, or short message, and Michael will hand-letter your words beneath the print in his own handwriting before it ships.

A Cafe We Keep Coming Back To

We first discovered Le Consulat during our honeymoon in Montmartre over twenty years ago. We sat at a tiny table on the cobblestones, watched the neighborhood come to life, and knew this was a place we would return to again and again. We have, every trip since.

This illustration captures the cafe's charming facade: the red and green striped awning, the flower boxes, the wicker chairs set out on the cobblestones. Every hand-signed edition carries the artist Michael's signature from our Fort Worth studio.

Each hand-signed print is produced one at a time in our Fort Worth studio using fade-resistant pigment inks on Crane's Lettra® 110 lb Cover, a 297 GSM 100% cotton paper in Fluorescent White. A genuine giclée print, signed by the artist.
Why Choose the Hand-Signed Edition
The hand-signed edition is exclusive to moddayart.com. You will not find it on Amazon or any other retailer. Each print is personally signed by the artist, making it a more meaningful piece for your collection or as a gift.

This edition is available in 8x10 only. If you prefer the 11x14 size, our standard Le Consulat print is available in both 8x10 and 11x14. We also offer hand-signed editions of our Eiffel Tower and Sacré-Coeur prints.
About the Illustration
Our Le Consulat illustration showcases the iconic cafe's charming corner facade in vibrant colors. The red and green striped awning, flower boxes spilling over with blooms, and wicker chairs on the cobblestone street capture the essence of Parisian cafe culture. Neighboring establishments line the narrow Montmartre street, adding depth and authenticity.

Le Consulat is a historic restaurant in the Montmartre district that has been serving visitors since the early 1900s. Located on the picturesque Rue Norvins, it has been a gathering spot for artists, writers, and visitors for over a century.
A Parisian Gift

A hand-signed Le Consulat print is a thoughtful gift for Francophiles, cafe lovers, and anyone who has wandered the streets of Montmartre. It captures a side of Paris that goes beyond the typical tourist landmarks.

The personal story behind this piece makes it a meaningful choice for couples, food lovers, and anyone who appreciates authentic Parisian culture.

Printed on Crane's Lettra®

Crane has been making paper in America for more than two hundred years, and Lettra is the sheet their reputation rests on. It is 100% cotton, with no wood pulp at all, and it has a soft, slightly toothy surface that most printing papers simply do not have. Pigment ink settles into the fibers rather than sitting on top, which is why the color reads with depth from across the room.

Printers reach for Lettra when a piece has to feel like something: letterpress invitations, engraved announcements, foil and embossing work. We use it because a hand-drawn illustration deserves a surface that feels handmade too.

Ours is 110 lb Cover in Fluorescent White, 297 GSM. Substantial enough to hold its own in a frame, and bright enough to let the color do its job.
